Just received an email from reader PPNA Matt — according to Jim Kraft’s office, the tax credit amnesty period goes back to October 1, 2004 (90-day eligibility period prior to 1/1/05) . We did receive a couple of emails about the amnesty date, so hopefully that will clarify things.

Recently sold a rehabbed home to a first time homebuyer and would like them to be able to stay in the property without penalty of a reassessment. Thanks for the update.

We’re hoping the city will continue to offer its residents tax incentives to stay in the city. God knows we need some kind of incentive to stay here…
