About Baltimore Slumlord Watch
Baltimore Slumlord Watch was created in January of 2009, as a way for city residents to discuss and share information on Baltimore’s many bad property owners. Started by a resident who was tired of watching out of town “investors” and others destroy neighborhoods as a result of their negligence, we hope this blog will serve as a valuable service to other city residents who are sick of the problems slumlords cause in our communities.
Please note, we do not work for realtors, developers, or property investors, and have no financial interest in property in Baltimore City.

I would hope that individuals with problem bars talk to the bar owner before talking to the liquor board. I also hope that people know what the bar can do and what it can’t.

I would hope the same — a little common sense goes a long way, when dealing with problem property owners.

The experience in our neighborhood, Charles Village, is that the CLC is on the side of fringe neighborhood associations (sometimes just one or two people who are opposed to what they see as gentrification) and against hardworking neighbors who are trying to build successful establishments. I hope workshop doesn’t tilt the scales even farther against the people who are trying to build restaurants in Baltimore.

I’d like a little more info than that, if you don’t mind.
