This home was once listed for rent at $1450 a month — considering its location and size, it’s no wonder the home is vacant. Odd that someone would attempt to charge that much for a tiny house on a sketchy block.

I’d bet section 8 would pay close to $1450.
Absolutely, hence the ridiculously high rents in Pigtown. But it’s a one-bedroom house, I think, and they’re hard to rent anyway.
Money laundering with ads to legitimize it?
It hasn’t had a FOR RENT sign in forever — it’s been a few years.
It’s kind of darling with the little front yard–right next to a church and across from a school. On Google Maps it looks like it’s attached to a boarded-up shop–maybe the shop-owners place? Was probably a great place to live at one point.
The boarded up shop was actually renovated in the past couple of years and turned into apartments. Sadly this little house continues to be neglected, and that corner is an active corner for drugs and prostitution.
