Update: 2708 and 2710 Reisterstown Road
4November 30, 2012 by Baltimore Slumlord Watch
These two homes have been demolished — where this blight once sat, there’s now a green space.

Reisterstown Road and Liberty Heights Avenue, former site of two vacant blighted homes.

I love the idea of ugly broken down houses being torn down but then I wonder about the land the green space, who will maintain it? Is going to be a place to dump unwanted items and garbage. I have seen it happen before in this situation
I have the same concerns, and I’m hoping this will be maintained. It’s right across from the Mondawmin transit hub and the mall — hopefully it won’t turn into a trash dump.
Assuming that the city tore down these houses, I hope that they placed liens on both properties- seeing as how these two slumlords still own them.
Both were affected by a fire, so I’m not sure how or why they were torn down — they may have just collapsed on their own. I asked about this, and have yet to receive a response.
