Update: 701 W Lafayette Avenue

February 8, 2013 by Baltimore Slumlord Watch

This home was the subject of two other posts — one looking at the misdeeds of its owner, and one looking at the people who lived there.

Unfortunately, it would appear that shortly after writing about the two firemen who lived in the home during the late 1800s and early 1900s, the home collapsed along with its next-door neighbor, 703.

Sad that we can’t preserve our history before it’s destroyed.

701 and 703 W Lafayette Avenue, now a pile of rubble.

Many thanks to Reader LR for the photo!
