Property Owner (21):  See ownership information for 13 Payson Street, above.  Again, the owner, ETS-Maryland LLC did not file a deed transfer after gaining ownership of the property, as required by law.

    Is there some reason for a new owner to fail to neglect transfering a deed, besides laziness? I’m finding this fairly often, and the people at the Assesor’s office just shrug their shoulders.

      Yes, of course — if nobody knows you own a property, you wouldn’t be mailed a tax bill. And you wouldn’t be held accountable, and you could feign ignorance when the city mailed out violation notices.
