You may recall that we started Housing Policy Watch as a natural progression of the work we were doing with Baltimore Slumlord Watch. With additional work also comes additional need for residents, and business owners to support what’s happening in Baltimore, to change housing policy for the better — for all who work and live in Baltimore City.
Over the past year and a half, HPW’s mapping projects and legislative work, along with community organizing and eduction/outreach have supplemented what Baltimore Slumlord Watch has been doing for almost six years — and with no funding from government agencies, we are held accountable to you and you alone. However, we can’t do it without the generous support of our donors — please make a tax-deductible contribution today!
In addition to your generous support, you can get involved by signing up for the mailing list by using the form on the front page of the website, or joining in the conversations on Twitter and Facebook!
Both of these projects were started by a resident, for residents and others who have a vested interest in ensuring Baltimore’s success — and your support is critical to carrying out the mission and goals of both. Right now, your generous contribution will be doubled by a matching grant fund from the Warnock Foundation, and we can’t stress enough how important this is to our success, and the success of all those residents who are so negatively affected by blighted nuisance vacants in our city. You can read more about the fantastic support we’ve received from the Warnock Foundation here.
