Interesting to note this property owner is an attorney in Washington, DC and is also a former prosecutor for the city.  A shame he would leave this property to fall to ruin, and further this neighborhood’s decline.

It appears that DeLaurentis, Reiff, and Reid, the disbarred attorneys/bid riggers foreclosed on this property in 2008-2010.  Not sure why, four years later, it still looks like this.

There’s a sign posted that gives a clue as to what the owner’s intention was — but…well, obviously his plan never came to fruition, and the lonely permit posted in the window expired in 2009.

Two things to note — one, this home has been marked by BCFD with the red x, indicating it’s not safe for firemen to enter…and two, the home’s owner has been sued by the City in a receivership proceeding.  Hopefully the City will sell the home to someone who will restore it and rid this neighborhood of a blighted mess.
